Stacey + Casey | Mayernik Center Wedding Photos {Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer}
Casey & Stacey's wedding at the Mayernik Center was an awesome spot to have a wedding! Not only was is great for a lot of beautiful photo spots, but the venue offered a beautiful setting for guests. Set off of Camp Horne Rd by Animal Friends, the Mayernik Center wedding venue gave visitors views of a small-town community vibe with the lush green fields and a little creek running down the front between the building and the parking lot. There's also a wooden kid's playground close by (great for guests with little ones that get anxious)!
When I met Casey and Stacey in the North Hills Starbucks on McKnight Rd months before their wedding, they were such a great couple to sit and have a conversation with! The two are super down to Earth and completely comfortable with one another and gave me such a positive vibe as we sipped on our coffees. Looking through the albums of my work, I loved how they were attentive to details and appreciated the craftsmanship of the albums. So whenever it was their wedding day, I knew these two would be chill, but Mother Nature had other plans.
On the day of their wedding, I kept checking the forecast and whenever I arrived at their wedding at the Mayernik Center, the forecast said strong thunderstorms were to start right around 5:30 in the evening-- the time of the ceremony! We were able to start the ceremony, which was in the backside of the Mayernik Center, ten minutes early, but the skies still darkened and the air still chilled. As the bridal party started down the aisle, it seemed as though everything was going to be okay! The only water that appeared was from Casey's eyes as he saw his bride, Stacey, walking down the aisle with her father. It's moments like this that make it hard for me to not cry! Watching Casey get super emotional over his wife-to-be was super touching and a moment that is forever frozen in time. The rain clouds subsided and skipped over us as we watched the ceremony progress.
After a traditional and beautiful wedding ceremony at the Mayernik Center, the guests ventured indoors for cocktail hour as we captured photos around the park with the bridal party-- the sun even made a small appearance during Casey and Stacey's portraits by the creek! It was such a relief not having to worry about a rain plan, even though I do come prepared with a couple dozen umbrellas!
The party started with introductions as the bridal party walked into their reception at the Mayernik Center and we carried on with cake cutting, speeches and dancing. Dinner was filling and the homemade sweets were delicious. The two were surrounded by family and friends and the party carried on into the night! Thank you to Casey & Stacey for such a beautiful evening and being so fun to work with! Congrats on your wedding at the Mayernik Center!
