Sara & Mike - Springwood Manor Wedding Photos {Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer}

It has been one month since Sara and Mike said "I do" at Springwood Manor in Verona. These two amazing veterinarians invited me into their home at the beginning of the year to take their engagement photos, along with their 10 cats, 2 dogs, and a handful of other beautiful animals. I had so much fun playing with all of the furry friends that I was super excited to capture their wedding day! I knew that they would definitely incorporate their pets somehow and they did not disappoint. Their dogs walked down the aisle and their cats' photos were a part of the centerpieces on the tables. It was such a special day!

Our day started with Sara getting ready at Springwood's beautiful property home where the girls were getting ready. The spot includes a garage that has been transformed into a huge open space-- perfect for hair and makeup, as well as the best natural light coming in through the french doors! Up the hallway was a traditional ranch home, and the outside was full of nice spots to take photographs. I highly recommend this spot if you plan to get married at Springwood Manor.

Once the girls finished getting ready, we drove around the corner to the main property for the ceremony. As Sara and her father walked down the aisle, I couldn't help but get emotional watching Mike see his bride for the first time before the two became Mr and Mrs. Even though I capture weddings every weekend, I still get a little emotional and love watching my couples on the happiest day of their lives! The two exchanged their vows and rings in front of close family and friends, just before sunset. The timing was perfect and the sun was setting behind the trees-- which created a glowing yellow backdrop behind Mike and added some extra sun flare into a few photos.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds exchanged hugs and kisses with their family and we quickly captured family portraits before walking down the pathway behind the property into the sunset. I love love LOVE their portraits! Their natural smiles and laughter made for some amazing portraits, as well as having the best lighting! These wedding photos at Springwood Manor are some of my favorite! Sara was glowing all on her own, but the way the light was hitting her dress added that extra sparkle. The Golden Hour is the best time for photographs and we certainly were able to take advantage of the time!

After we had fun doing some spins and twirls, we headed back to join the guests for cocktail hour outside. Who would have imagined it would be a perfect Fall day? The weather was great and by now, the temp was cooling down for a chill evening. The bridal party arrived down the steps and Sara's father greeted them with a toast. The back patio was the perfect setting as guests watched the newlyweds share their first dance. Once we were finished with cake cutting, we went inside of the glass Atrium and listened to Sara's older sister, Erin, give a heartfelt and hilarious speech, which included another "furry" friend for the duo-- a Rainforest Frog stuffed animal! Mike's best man concluded the speeches and dinner was served!

Once we finished our meals, the party moved outdoors for dancing and fun! Sara's DJ, PJ the DJ, kept the guests rocking all night! I'm really a happy photographer whenever guests take advantage of the music and dance the night away. It's so fun capturing the dancing! I usually don't include that many reception photos in my blog posts, but I loved too many!

When the day wrapped up, Sara and Mike were sent off by friends and family in a classic Ford motorcar from the 1930's. The two went on their way and off to their honeymoon! We had so much fun capturing their wedding and I hope you enjoy the wedding photos at Springwood Manor! Congrats to Sara and Mike!
