Amber & Jesse - Phipps Wedding Photos {Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer}

Amber & Jesse's wedding at Phipps Conservatory was a dream come true. I seriously feel like I can't top this wedding but I know I have so many more amazing weddings coming up soon! It's such a fantastic feeling whenever I finish and deliver a wedding gallery to a client, but sometimes it's also very bittersweet that it's all over. I invest so much time in prep, emails/communications, shoot the event and then post production work-- it really is a lot of time invested in each wedding that you don't get to see, so for this job to come to a close, definitely warms my heart and makes me a bit sad!
These two beautiful souls are huge fans of photography and gave me complete control over their engagement session and their portraits at their Phipps wedding. I've taken photos at Phipps for weddings a few times prior to theres, but in different seasons. While it was unruly hot outside for this June wedding at Phipps, we had some of the most gorgeous portraits taken all around the greenhouse structure. I LOVE how the sun sets to the west of the building, and this summer night took the cake for a fantastic sunset. The sky lit up gorgeous hues of oranges with subtle notes of pink. The sky complimented Amber's stunning Hayley Paige's Leah gown that was a gorgeous blend of violet, pink, ivory and white.
Their ceremony at Phipps was short and sweet as the two said their "I Do's" in front of an intimate crowd of close family and friends. A live quartet played as Amber walked down the aisle to greet Jesse, where he radiated with smiles as his bride approached him. I love a great groom reaction and Jesse's expressions were priceless!
For the reception, the bride and groom opted for an outdoor celebration underneath a series of tents outside of Phipps in the outdoor garden. The two skipped the traditional festivities of a wedding reception and kept things chill with a dinner and mingling. The two were introduced and immediately cut their gorgeous wedding cake from Pittsburgh's famous Prantl's Bakery! As the crowd looked on in anticipation, the two kept it clean as they cut the cake.
After dinner, the sun was just about to go below the horizon line in Oakland, so we headed over to the Schenley Bridge to place their lock of love on the bridge. Engraved with Jesse & Amber 6-17-17, the newlyweds locked their love in place just feet from their wedding location. After snagging a few fun shots on the bridge, we grabbed another small bunch of portraits outside of Phipps as the sun cast a golden glow on the glass structure.
While guests mingled and talked, they had the option to send their cell phone photos to an email address that Jesse set up for the wedding that auto saved the image for the couple to make a virtual album and for the image to auto print to be hung up on the clothes line behind the guests tables. I LOVED this idea and thought it was a really special idea! Besides the guests photos being printed throughout the evening, Jesse and Amber featured a couple dozen shots from our engagement session in the Strip District! Their appreciation for photography was definitely well translated throughout the evening!
We ended the night with a sparkler send off! These are so fun! Congrats to Jesse and Amber on your stunning wedding at Phipps! I'm so happy that I captured your day and wish you the best!
