Dawn + Tim's Our Lady of Grace Church & Heidelberg Fire Hall Wedding {Pittsburgh Wedding Pho

Dawn and Tim had a beautiful wedding, despite the odds with the weather and being sick. The day called for rain but we were lucky enough that it only poured from the time after the ceremony on our way to the first stop for portraits. I started the day off at Dawn's parents' house. Their house overlooks the countryside and was a beautiful spot to get ready at. We did a quick first look with Dawn's dad and then headed to Scott Township to Our Lady of Grace Church for their traditional ceremony. The church is unique in the sense that it is shaped like an octagon and there was plenty of gorgeous wood features. The ceremony was going great and then it came to the rings. Tim's brother and best man forgot to cut off the price tags and as the priest went to exchange the rings, he tried to rip it off and it wouldn't budge. So while the wedding party was laughing, the priest had to go to the back and cut them off! It was definitely in-tune with the many laughs that they shared that day.
After the ceremony, the two were on their way out and Dawn was surprised with the greeting of their dog! The look on her face was priceless! After a few quick snaps with their dog, we went down to the road to the the Kane Woods Nature Area for wedding portraits at the Whiskey Point Trailhead. This hidden gem was perfect for a wooded backdrop in the suburbs. We then stopped at a yellow bridge on Carothers Avenue before finishing their wedding photos in Carnegie on Main St. The street in front of Carnegie Coffee Company was a perfect spot for a hometown feel.
The reception at the Heidelberg Fire Hall was a ton of fun! The duo was welcomed with love and laughter by their friends and family. They celebrated by doing toasts, a traditional family shot, and partying with friends. My night ended just after Dawn shared a special mother/daughter dance. It was a beautiful and touching moment that the two will never forget.
Thank you to Dawn and Tim for welcoming me into your lives as newlyweds! I had a great time capturing your special day.
