The Gallo's take over Pittsburgh!

When I was approached by the Gallo's to take their family pictures in Pittsburgh, I couldn't have been more excited for two reasons: the first being that the photography teacher who introduced me to the art was named Mr. Gallo and then second being that this family was flying in from their home state of Texas for the Steelers game on Sunday and I love families from Texas!

After a gorgeous unseasonably warm week in Pittsburgh, Friday morning produced downpours that ruined our scheduled time, but luckily we were both able to reschedule for the afternoon-- which paid off with a beautiful sunny and bright day! We started at Pittsburgh's Allegheny Commons Park for their family pictures and couldn't believe how beautiful the park was for the time of year in early November. The trees were still shades of yellow, orange and red; the beautiful colors gave a wonderful contrast to the bright green grass! The boys couldn't wait to run and throw leaves at each other-- including wanting to make "snow" angels (but unfortunately they were soaking wet from the morning's rain).

After exploring the war memorial and catching some views of the skyline peeking through the trees, we headed south up to Mt. Washington for some stunning views! Although the sky turned grey as the sun was setting, the Gallo's continued to have bright smiles and a wonderful sense of humor! Thank you for letting me capture these gorgeous images of your beautiful family and I hope you guys had a great visit to Pittsburgh (and the Steelers won)!!!
