My Master's Graduation

I usually hate being the one in front of the camera, but today was a very special day as it signified the completion of my master's degree! I've spent the last two years balancing a newborn growing into a toddler, a full time job, working on my education during my lunch breaks and at any moment in the late night that I could, buying and renovating a house, starting a business, and most importantly, I had to put my family and their needs ahead of mine. I have spent a lot of time making sure everyone else was put first, so when this day came, I couldn't be happier to have completed this journey and look forward to the future of continuing to grow my photography business and my family.

Kent State University's Master's in Public Relations is a great online program and an ideal choice for a busy professional! Aside from a master's in PR, I think it's safe to say that I have also earned a master's in time management and organization. My graduation ceremony was full of laughter and a lot of selfies! Did I mention that I took a selfie on stage when I received my diploma with Kent State's President Beverly Warren after I shook her hand? That was a pretty special moment to forever remember and the packed gymnasium had a great laugh!

First and foremost, I want to thank my amazing fiance, Mike, for always being understanding of my deadlines and taking care of Addison whenever I needed extra time. I also want to thank all of my colleagues that have helped me grow enormously throughout the program and become a better professional! Even though I had never met any in person before my actual graduation ceremony, you guys have made it super easy to communicate via social media outlets, texts, and through e-mails. And finally, thank you to my family for being so supportive for the last few years as I wouldn't have been able to do this without your encouragement!

With Love,

Rachel
