Nicole (Colzy) and Jake's wedding at St Maria Goretti and reception at The Fez was a night to remember! My day started off at the Sheraton by the Pittsburgh International Airport with Colzy and the girls, while David went to the bride and groom's home in the South Hills. The morning was full of entertainment, including a toast that almost popped right into me, but the photos were so worth it and the girls looked gorgeous in their matching blue robes that were personalized and monogrammed. I love the look of matching getting ready outfits--whether it's robes, pajama's or shirts! It really ties together the appearance and creates a clean look. But while we were celebrating with mimosas and fresh fruit, the guys were having shots and posing for hilarious photos at their private basement bar. The funky room lights and smoke effects turned their getting ready photos into some pretty awesome bromance photos!
When we left the hotel, the girls' boarded a fun limo bus ride to the city, provided by TDF Limousine-- which included a dancing pole! Upon arrival, Colzy wrote out a special note for her husband-to-be, and they exchange their notes just before the ceremony. With the final touches happening, Blake put Colzy's Cathedral length veil into her hair and it was time to head in for the ceremony! As they walked down the aisle, the front of St Maria Goretti's reminded me of Disney's Cinderella's Castle with the neon purple and blue lights shining onto the alter. The color really added a pop into the photos! As the duo said their "I Do's" to become husband and wife, we captured all of the precious moments for their wedding photos at St Maria Goretti.
As we exited the church, it started to pour, but by the time we made it out of traffic and onto the parkway west to capture their portraits and wedding photos at Settlers Cabin Park, the rain passed and we were only left with a little drizzle. The wedding party was so great to work with and gave us a lot of fun photographs! Colzy and Jake were so great to work with for portraits and honestly, hilarious, as Jake made everyone laugh! Their wedding photos at Settlers Cabin Park are definitely some of my favorites! As we entered into September, the hues were starting to get a little more fall-like and I loved the shades of green!
After we finished their wedding photos at Settlers Cabin Park in Robinson, we continued down 376 to The Fez for the wedding reception. The group had some time to relax as David and I captured the details-- which also included a mixture of blue and purple up-lighting! The guests were so fun to talk to and capture their group photos; they definitely made me smile all night! The reception at The Fez started with the wedding party's introductions going down the grand staircase, and was followed by toasts, dinner catered by The Fez, and dancing. DJ Petey C was phenomenal and had the couple hundred guests packing the dance floor all night! If you're looking for a DJ for your upcoming wedding, I definitely highly recommend him, as he took care of the crowd and got them up on their feet.
Congrats to Colzy and Jake on your insanely gorgeous wedding! I'm so happy to have been a part of it and wish you two many years of happiness together!
