Annissa and Josh said "I do" on the most beautiful winter wonderland day in the middle of December! This gorgeous wedding was one amazing way to finish off my amazing 2017 wedding season! Congrats to Josh and Annissa!
I started my morning off at Van Salon in Sewickley, PA just outside of Pittsburgh. Home to legendary Penguins players, Sewickley is a gorgeous quaint little suburb just outside of Pittsburgh. The town is full of small businesses and has a very small town atmosphere! While the girls were getting pampered in this gorgeous 2-story salon, just outside there was a Santa greeting children and carriage rides! If that wasn't a way to put a smile on your face first thing in the morning, I don't know what would. The staff at the salon was above accommodating and super nice! I highly recommend going there if you need any salon services. Check out their website, linked below.
Once everyone had their hair and make up finished, we jumped onto a fun party bus, provided by Red Carpet Limousine services, and headed to the Sheraton by the Pittsburgh Airport to grab the dresses and any last details needed for the day. Once we arrived at Mount Olivet Presbyterian Church in Aliquippa, PA, the girls had some time to relax while I captured all of Annissa's gorgeous details. The Christmas tree on the Altar was a great backdrop for the bokeh of the lights and the snow outside was glistening as the sun came out in the afternoon! We could not have asked for better weather on their wintertime wedding day!
While the girls finished getting ready in the preschool room, the gentlemen arrived and greeted guests arriving for the wedding at Mt Olivet Presbyterian Church. The ceremony started and the two said their I do's in front of family and friends. Josh had woken up sick that morning and luckily pulled through just fine for the rest of the day! They say, "In sickness and in health!" Once we captured the love between these two and their families, we celebrated with a champagne toast on the limo bus and headed over to capture their wedding photos at Robin Hill Park in Moon Township, PA.
We arrived for their wedding photos at Robin Hill Park just before sunset and captured some gorgeous sunset photos! The golden hour is always my favorite time of the day to capture portraits, which isn't something that is always controllable on wedding days due to timing of the ceremony and reception, but Annissa, Josh and I planned this out perfectly that we would have the optimum amount of light for gorgeous sunset photos! I always mention this time of day during wedding consults, so it's great whenever it actually gets to happen!
I absolutely LOVED Annissa's enthusiasm and willingness to venture into the snow in her wedding gown for the prettiest looking photos! Robin Hill Park is one of my favorite parks because it offers this gorgeous red brick classical looking home, as well as having a huge moss/ivy covered stone retaining wall in the back gardens and big open grass fields, which we were lucky enough to have snow! The due danced, cuddled, laughed and had a fun time with their wedding photos at Robin Hill Park! It was so hard to narrow down which photos to post in the blog that I kind of am over sharing because they're just so pretty with the white blanket of snow and the sun setting behind the trees.
Once we finished with portraits, we made it back to the Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport with plenty of time to set up and capture the details of the ballroom for their reception. The guests mingled in the foyer space and enjoyed hors d'overs until it was time to party! DJ Ryan Boeltz with Maverick Entertainment did a great job with the music for the night and the guests had a wonderful time mingling, capturing all the fun in the Photo Booth and dancing the night away!
Thank you for such a wonderful wedding day and congrats!! We had a great time sharing your special day with you!
